Richard Angelico
Investigative reporter Richard Angelico joined WDSU NewsChannel 6 in 1983, after a 15-year career as a reporter for WVUE-TV.

Richard Angelico Angelico began at WDSU as a part-time producer of the then-11 p.m. newscast. Within two years he was promoted to full-time reporter and soon began his career as an investigative reporter.

Some of Angelico's memorable work includes his reporting on organized crime in Louisiana, drug trafficking in city neighborhoods and exposing child molesters on the Internet.

Angelico grew up in Jefferson Parish and graduated with a degree in Spanish from Loyola University.

Richard has won numerous awards for his investigative reports, including two Emmys, six regional Edward R. Murrow Awards, several Associated Press and Press Club Awards and the prestigious Society of Professional Journalists First Amendment Award.

He is the only reporter to have been given a Metropolitan Crime Commission Award for Outstanding Reporting on Organized Crime.

Angelico lives along Bayou St. John with his wife, Diane. They have a son and a daughter and four grandchildren.
