Rich Lenz
Sports anchor Rich Lenz made up his mind about working at WDSU NewsChannel 6 in 1980, while he was still a student at the University of Georgia. He visited the station's old location in the French Quarter and became determined to work for WDSU.

After receiving his degree in journalism, Rich moved to Lafayette to work as a sports photographer at KFLY. His next stop was WXTL in Tallahassee, Fla., where he gained experience as a sports director. He then went on to work at WVLA in Baton Rouge and KWTV in Oklahoma City.
His proudest moment since arriving at WDSU in 1994 was covering LSU's win in the 1997 College World Series.
Rich says that looks forward to Saints road trips each fall because he has family members in every NFL city.
When not covering local sports, he enjoys playing the guitar and playing sports with his son, Cameron, and his daughter, Claire.
